Since inception in March 2020, The Global Diwan has put forward a Diwan Leadership Program for young leaders of the Middle East-North Africa region. Since then, the idea gained ground and received the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the head of its MENA department on 1 April 2020.
Kuwait will most probably be the first to experiment it, with the support of distinguished personalities such as HH Sheikha Intisar AlSabah, Founder of Intisar Foundation, the newly appointed French Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Anne-Claire Legendre and the parliamentary France-Kuwait Friendship Group’s president, member of Parliament Annaïg Le Meur, with whom we had a working meeting on September 15, count among our many supporters. More recently on September 22, we met MEDEF International (the French employer federation) French-Kuwait committee’s President Francois-Aïssa Touazi who endorsed the proposal.
The Global Diwan will soon proceed with the implementation of its Diwan Leadership program towards other countries. We will launch or partner with bilateral platforms in business, culture and academia to which The Global Diwan will give a European and global dimension.
