Eric Schell is a specialist in public affairs and institutional relations with a sound knowledge of public authorities in France and in the European Union: local authorities and administrations, ministerial offices, ministerial administrations, as well as French and European parliamentarians.
Eric also knows the decision-making process that is followed in Europe and in France in professional associations, organisations and federations, political parties and by mainstream decision makers.
Before, Eric served as head of cabinet to a chairman of a Departement (Indre et Loire),also deputy chairman of the French Senate , two senators who were also mayors of large French cities (Caen and Saint-Etienne) and an advisor to the President of a Region (Centre) in France.
Through his work with parliamentarians and executives, Eric Schell has acquired solid experience of the public sector for activities relating to economic development and international promotion for local authorities. He has been in regular contact with private companies, and is knowledgeable about problems relating to competition and competitiveness.
Eric Schell speaks English and German, and has a global vision that is open to the world, one based on a number of missions to promote businesses and tourism in the USA, Japan, and China, as well as in a number of European and MENA zone countries.
His expertise as managing director of Cabinet Schell/Advocaxio, a Brussels-based independent consultancy since 2000 covers many sectors of industry, services, insurance, bank, transport, trade, etc.
In early 2020, Eric Schell founded in Brussels a Euro-Arab platform, The Global Diwan aimed to foster cultural, academic, and business links between the EU member states and MENA countries, including GCC, Maghreb, Egypt and Turkey, including Asia Pacific and Africa as neighbouring continents.
Eric Schell has been a member of the SEAP (Society of European Affairs Professionals) in Brussels and of the AFCL, the Association Française des Conseils en Lobbying et Affaires Publiques (French Association of Lobbying and Public Affairs consultancies) in Paris, where he has been the chairman of the Europe-International Committee.
As a consultancy, we still abide by the codes of ethics of the AFCL and of the SEAP.
